Cover Story:The Jiama ore district in Tibet in June. Drill hole ZK1616 intersects hornfels copper-molybdenum ore bodies in the depths of 17.66–247.44 m and 324.56–587.16 m. The average copper grades of the two ore blocks are 0.31% and 0.12% respectively, and the av-erage molybdenum grades are 0.018% and 0.069% respectively. In addition, skarn copper-molybdenum ore bodies are revealed in the depth of 587.16–839.36 m, whose average grades of copper and molybdenum are 0.75% and 0.1%, with the associated gold and silver grades being 0.25 g/t and 12.3 g/t respec-tively. This drill hole has played a key role in the great breakthrough in search for hornfels ore bodies and skarn ore bodies in Jiama, and laid the foundation for expanding the resources and prospecting for deep concealed porphyry type ore deposits in Jiama.
